MEP Cristian Terheș and ECPP President Valeriu Ghilețchi Discuss the Black Sea, Trade Corridors & Peace

On Tuesday 20 October, the European Parliament debated the situation in the Black Sea following an escalation of Russian strikes. Several commercial vessels were hit by drones, and crew members were killed or went missing. During the plenary debate, ECPP MEP Cristian Terheș called for decisive action. In particular, he proposes closing the Northern Corridor, also known as the New Eurasian Land Bridge, which crosses Russia and from which Russia benefits financially, fueling its war of aggression in Ukraine and its hybrid activities in the European Union.
