The newly elected MEPs were officially welcomed: Bert-Jan Ruissen (SGP), Niels Geuking (Familien Partei), Cristian Terheș (PNCR), and Vilis Krištopans (Latvia First). Additionally, the Assembly was informed the board had accepted four new parties and four individual members into the alliance: Latvia First, the Lithuanian Christian Union, Jobbik Conservatives, and PNCR. Peeter Võsu, Florica Cherecheș, Branislav Škripek, and Inga Bite were welcomed as individual members. Furthermore, Secretary General Maarten van de Fliert announced the termination of membership of several individuals and parties due to loss of contact and/or dissolution.

During the meeting, board member and Vice-President Karin Heepen was re-elected for a second term. Treasurer Jacques Bazen presented the Financial Report of 2023, along with the external audit. Following a discussion, the report was unanimously adopted.

Campaign Manager Adriana Rus presented ECPM’s election campaign. She highlighted the growth in social media traffic and the significant presence in mainstream media compared to previous campaigns. Several members expressed their gratitude to ECPM’s campaign team for their support and cooperation. President Valeriu Ghilețchi also thanked outgoing MEP Márton Gyöngyösi and MEP Anja Haga for their work and collaboration during their time in the European Parliament.

The board initiated a discussion on the future of ECPM. To better communicate that ECPM is a political party, a name change was suggested. Also, the Board expressed its intention to make its leadership more politically orientated by increasing the involvement of MEPs and separating political and administrative tasks. During the discussion, members shared their thoughts on the potential name change and expressed univocally it should maintain a reference to Christianity. To follow-up the discussion, the Board will prepare suggestions for a new name and forward them to the members.
