ECPP President Valeriu Ghilețchi highlighted the significance of the meeting:

“This edition of our General Assembly was important, as leadership and members could mutually inform and discuss with each other. The meeting proved that we are committed and continue to grow as a party in size and influence. I am also very happy with the re-election of Helena Hlubocká and Leon Meijer in their roles as ECPP board members.”

During the Assembly, the leadership updated members on current priorities, including the ongoing restructuring process and the planned update of the party statutes. ECPP Members of the European Parliament provided insights into their latest parliamentary work, and newly affiliated MEPs were introduced and welcomed.

Members voted to re-elect Helena Hlubocká (Slovakia, Kresťanská únia) and Leon Meijer (Netherlands, ChristenUnie) as board members for a new four-year term, confirming strong confidence in their continued leadership.

“It’s a privilege to receive a new mandate, and I am grateful for the trust and continued support. I will work for an ECPP that is united, mission-driven, and boldly present in the public square – to be salt and light in Europe’s public life.”

Helena Hlubocká

“In a time where Christian values are under pressure it is all the more important to build a strong presence of the ECPP in the European Parliament. I am honoured to have been re-elected on the board of ECPP to continue building the organization.”

Leon Meijer

The Assembly reaffirmed ECPP’s commitment to promoting Christian values in politics at both the European and national levels.
