“We Must Speak for the Unborn” – MEPs Cristian Terheș & Bert-Jan Ruissen Discuss “My Voice, My Choice”, Abortion and European Values

During last week’s plenary session in Strasbourg, ECPP MEPs Cristian Terheș and Bert-Jan Ruissen, together with ECPP President Valeriu Ghilețchi, took part in a discussion moderated by Márton Gyöngyösi, ECPP Director for Political Relations, on the European Citizens’ Initiative “My Voice, My Choice”, the European Commission’s follow-up to the initiative, and the wider debate surrounding abortion, human rights, subsidiarity, and European values.

The discussion addressed the role of EU institutions in ethical and societal issues, emphasising the importance of democratic accountability, the protection of human dignity, and the need for continued open debate across Europe.

The discussion was recorded during the 27–30 April plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
