Valeriu Ghilețchi, ECPP President:

“It was an honour meeting Pope Leo XIV together with ECPP Members of the European Parliament. Our visit is a great encouragement for our political work in Strasbourg and Brussels and for our activities as the only European political party explicitly promoting Christian values.”

The delegation consisted of party President Valeriu Ghilețchi, MEPs Ondřej Dostál, Cristian Terheș, and Șerban-Dimitrie Sturdza; Maarten van de Fliert, ECPP Secretary General; Márton Gyöngyösi, Director for Political Relations, and assisting staff.

The ECPP delegation also met with Vincenzo Bassi, President of the Federation of Catholic Family Associations in Europe (FAFCE), to discuss the priorities in Europe’s current family policies.
