ECPP Meets in Vienna for its 30th General Assembly

On Friday morning, before the General Assembly, ECPP members took part in a roundtable discussion on the European Union’s defence policy. Dr. Trineke Palm, Director of the Scientific Institute of ChristenUnie (ECPP member party), delivered a lecture on the subject from the perspective of Christian social thinking, after which there was a discussion among ECPP members.

During the General Assembly, the ECPP Board informed the assembly of current party affairs and its priorities for the rest of 2026. A key discussion topic was the new party statutes, which were adopted during the meeting.

Present ECPP members of the European Parliament Bert-Jan Ruissen (NL), Claudiu-Richard Târziu (RO), and Şerban-Dimitrie Sturdza (RO) updated members on the issues they are currently working on.

The assembly was also informed that Marc Jost, Swiss Member of Parliament for the Evangelische Volkspartei der Schweiz, and Sven Seyfarth, Chairman of Familien-Partei Deutschlands in Thuringia, Germany, had been appointed to the ECPP Advisory Council.

This successful meeting reaffirms ECPP’s commitment to promoting Christian values in European politics, as well as our commitment to further professional growth and stability as a party that complies with European regulations.
