Encouraging Outcomes from NATO Summit

The European Christian Political Party (ECPP) welcomes the unity demonstrated at the NATO Summit and the shared commitment of all alliance members to increase military spending and uphold the mutual defence clause, Article 5.

Encouraging Outcomes from NATO Summit

A strong NATO is essential as a defensive military alliance. The agreement to increase military spending represent an important step in strengthening our collective defence and increasing our resilience. It also serves as an additional stimulus for European countries to take responsibility for their own defence, reduce reliance on the United States, and fulfil previous commitments that have been neglected.

Valeriu Ghilețchi, ECPP President:

“The transatlantic military cooperation between the US and European countries is more important than ever in these times of conflict at our borders in Ukraine and across the broader Middle East. The NATO Summit in The Hague is an encouragement.”

For ECPP, NATO remains the key platform for European military cooperation and coordination.
